“As a deer longs for flowing streams, so my soul longs for you, O God.” (Psalm 42.1)
The waters of new life flow constantly within us: deep, refreshing and renewing the most stagnant of situations. God’s life cannot be stopped! Transformation and change are always possible with our awesome God. When the waters of this world lead to stagnation do not search for life where life cannot be found.
“While they were perplexed about this, suddenly two men in dazzling clothes stood beside them. The women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, ‘Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here, he has risen.’” (Luke 24.4-6)
Go to God first for Life then turn to take on the problems that exist. Seeing the world through the lens of faith you will be renewed by divine vision and empowered to confront what lies ahead. Learn to see with God’s eyes, not with human emotions. Draw upon the springs of new life given you by Christ – faith, charity, and love.
“Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here, he has risen.” (Luke 24.6)
On behalf of Fr. Daniele and our parish staff, I wish you a blessed and holy Easter!
